In
an age of ever growing numbers of disciplines as a result
of cross-disciplinary fertilization, there is a need for
new ways of connecting ideas, insights and experiences.
JIC invites scholarly contributions from different
areas of study and regions to meet at the interdisciplinary
crossroads for a meaningful dialogue and understanding.
One of the objectives of the journal is to provide an open
forum for scholars who appreciate plurality of ideas and
approaches. The scope of the journal is GLOBAL rather than
regional. It is the interconnection of all ideas in inter-cultural
perspective that is being promoted towards developing a
holistic perspective and a better understanding of humankind.
The journal maintains a right balance between generality
and specificity. By emphasizing the importance of exploratory
crossroads in search of new vision, it defines interdisciplinarity
as a means towards achieving a possible goal of creating
new metaphor(s), new frontiers of knowledge and new language(s)
of interconnection rather than fragmentation. However, instead
of fixing the objectives once for all, the journal encourages
them to unfold freely with every creative intervention of
authors and readers. It is an all-encompassing journal catering
to the interests of faculty and research students of all
areas of study.
